National Museum of the Pacific War

The National Museum of the Pacific War is in Fredericksburg Texas.   The Parish Reunion Fund paid to have the names of all three brothers, Oel, Geral and Orvis, carved into the stones on the pathway at the museum.  All three brothers served in WWII.   The following site has more information:  http://www.pacificwarmuseum.org/index.asp

Oel arrived at Pearl Harbor just after it was bombed, as he had missed his flight.

Newspapers headlines

Sgt. Miles, Cameron L. serves in the Marine Corp.  (Oel's great grandson 2010)

Cameron has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Japan, & the Phillipines








Sheath is at the top that held the Sword which is underneath it.    Orvis Parish carried this during World War II
